Once again this is another 5 star read. Liz Tomforde can do no wrong. I don’t know what it is about her characters and writing but it hooks me from page one every time.

“Today was a good day”

Kai and Miller were to even start…

Kai didn’t even know he was a dad until the woman he got pregnant showed up at his doorstep when his son Max was 6 months old and decided she didn’t want to be a mom anymore. Kai has had so many responsibilities since he was a teenager and he didn’t bat an eye when his son came into his life. Kai is a pitcher for a Major League Baseball team and he’s trying to balance being a dad and succeeding at his career. Kai is also not easy to please, he has fired every nanny he’s had so far. That is until Miller crashed into his life and shakes things up.

Miller is an award winning pastry chef that just recently won the most prestigious award in her line of work and now she is suffering from major burn out. Miller decided to take a few months off. She goes to see her dad and ends up in an elevator with the man and little boy that will soon change her life and much as she changes theirs.

This book was sooo sooo good. I love every character in this series… Miller, Kai, and Max are no exception. Just a few pages into this book I knew it was going to be a five star read and one of my favorite books of the year. I loved reading Kai and Millers story. The spice was impeccable, the character development was amazing, the evolution of their friendship was swoon worthy. I loved their banter. Getting glimpses or Stevie, Zander’s, Ryan, and Indy was a definite plus. If you haven’t read this series I highly recommend it. It’s this book will have you smiling until your cheeks hurt. This book also made me boohoo and gasp aloud at parts. 10/10 I give it all the stars!

I can’t wait for Isaiah’s story.
