Call Out by Autumn Archer

4.0

Vivian is making assumptions. She seems to have lived a sheltered life. Danny is struggling to start over. He deserves some happiness for a change.

This all Danny’s story. His heart has a lot of hurt locked up inside. Finding out if he throws away that invisible key is what keeps me reading. Vivian is part of the supporting cast. Will she become a main character? Another reason to keep reading. But then I start to wonder if I have it all backwards.

I found it interesting how Vivian’s thinking seems so old fashioned compared to today’s standards. But it can also be detrimental since there’s a sense of naivete that she seems to have. Danny is like a hero in training – he needs to believe in himself. The author goes one step further in creating her story and includes at least one mystery. Shows how imaginative she is. You know you have to see how everything is going to come out. Then we have an ending like nothing I’ve ever read before. Just may need to check out more of her work.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
