This book was all over bookstagram and booktok a while ago but I was waiting for spooky season to read it, and I’m so glad I did. I was in a big reading slump after reading quite a few fantasy books back to back, and this was the perfect amount of creepy to keep me hooked. I love love love that the drawings were included. They definitely added to the creepiness of the story. I wouldn’t say the ending 100% surprised me, but it definitely didn’t completely end how I thought it was going to. I am also happy with the last chapter. I feel like it brought some realistic element to the ending. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good thriller for the spooky months.
