Gate of Shadows by Mark Wells

4.0

Another page turner in this second of the series (and I wonder how many there will be). Here, the plot thickens and we get to see more of that parallel world we first caught glimpses of in College of Shadows. Of course, being set in my alma mater, these books always make me feel homesick for the place (and for my youth). These books are also important because they stress how important universal access to Oxbridge is, with most of the main characters being from state school, and that's a vital statement and part of the books. Great read. Can't wait for the third.
