I think this book suffered from my reading it immediately after Luminous Dead. don’t get me wrong, I liked it fine, and I do have a need for more sci-fi horror, but the writing, pacing, and storyline itself were nothing to write home about and the character development (or any depth of characterization at all) was seriously lacking. generally a fun enough and quick read but likely not one I’ll return to
