Is this the slowest book ever or what?

‘The silent patient’ was always going to be a hard book to follow but I was so disappointed. I admit, my hopes were high but they were dashed quickly.

I’m not surprised how often Agatha Christie is mentioned because this book reads exactly like a whodunit which it was meant to so I wasn’t surprised by the reading style however I felt it had so much potential and fell short.

The pace, the pace was a real issue- we were moving at a snails pace with this one. Once you hit page 150 or so the story starts to stick but it my opinion, that is too far along in the book to have to push.

If you haven’t read a book by Alex Michaelides before, please go and read The Silent Patient first, the two books may as well have been written by two different authors because they are not the same vibe at all.

The redeeming quality for The Fury were the twists and turns, even when you thought you knew what was happening, you didn’t.
