i like the stories this author can create, i just don't think it works in a short-story format. the level of thought and detail in his sci-fi worlds would work better as complete stories. i enjoyed the earlier stories the most, but as i kept reading, i started enjoying them less. you were just dumped into a whole different world every 40ish mins and it was hard to grasp some of the characters and plot lines (especially the russian one).
Moderate: Cursing, Death, Gun violence, Medical content, Grief, Fire/Fire injury, Colonisation, War, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Child death, Infidelity, and Death of parent
