I think the premise of this book, that a famous actress doesn't want to come out as lesbian because she fears losing work, is just so unbelievably bad. If it had been set in the 80's/90's or if it had been specifically about being type casted or even if she had unsupportive/conservative friends or family members it would have made so much more sense. But the worry she has of literally losing her job because she is queer was so... bad. I don't know. It felt so dumb and the whole time I was just like please shut up it's 2021. Obviously homophobia is real and still exists but the f*cking plot just pissed me off so bad. I give +1 star because lesbian sex slay
