What Is to Be Done? by Vladimir Lenin

3.0

I knew this was going to be a challenging read before I started. I looked up modern interpretations of the text in advance and still didn't feel fully prepared. Large portions of the book make no sense unless you're intimately familiar with the political context it was written in. If you haven't read anything by Lenin yet, go with State and Revolution first then Imperialism, then maybe some of his other writing before this. You should definitely come back to What is to be Done eventually for important lessons on revolutionary organizing. I would strongly recommend finding modern articles or podcasts covering the book as well to get most out of it.
