Fate the Hunter: Early Arabic Hunting Poems by James E. Montgomery

3.0

Academically really interesting, even if the poetry itself didn't really capture me personally. Maybe the traditional format (whether rhythm, rhyme, or structure,) would have been more compelling had I been able to read the original rather than the translation. Maybe I was just expecting something else going in to this collection. But it was an intellectually enjoyable read, not a poetic one, for me.
