The Sandman Vol. 2: The Doll's House by Neil Gaiman

5.0

Fantastic. G.K. Chesterton staying at a hotel that's hosting a serial killer convention is so early Vertigo, and the Corinthian is creepy as ever. Also loved the absolutely devastating homages to Winsor McCay's Little Nemo comic strip, which here always end with Jed locked in the basement by his abusive aunt and uncle. Top it off with a foreword by Clive Barker and this has to be one of my favorite volumes in the whole series.
