The Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson
5.0
The Ministry For The Future by Kim Stanley Robinson--Methodically pragmatic yet unwavering in its optimism, this work of fiction could be ripped from tomorrow's headlines. While the story it tracks is extremely close to home, it's clear that the author did immense research to make this book a reality. The narrative follows a hypothetical Ministry for the Future under the United Nations, but the interstitials which break up the story give it strength, as the author and other characters ponder what this all means for us in the current moment. In some ways, it really is a beautiful book, it's clear the author intends the story to be nonfiction as fiction. Two thumbs up.
