Night Shift is a remarkable short story collection from King, featuring terrifying tales such as Jerusalem’s Lot and The Boogeyman, disturbing stories such as my favourite, Quitters Inc, and eerier ones such as I Know What You Need and The Woman in the Room. Some of the stories have less substance so they drag the collection down a little, but the overall quality here is very high.
