I thoroughly enjoyed this book and thought it had a really interesting premise that made you think. Even though it was hard to like some of the characters, you still want to know how their story plays out.
It was medium to fast paced, but I thought it ended a bit abruptly, leaving one plot point open-ended. This did not detract from the overall story for me though. I also liked that the chapters were so short moving between POVs which I thought propelled the story along quickly.
Each POV switch keeps building and building and the twists for each of them kept me engaged and turning the pages for more. I did pick up on some of the twists, but thought they were done really well and I was totally surprised by others. I’d definitely recommend The One for the unique storyline, quick read, and character dynamics.
