The Periodic Table by Primo Levi

This book is an interesting collection of short pieces of the author's life relating to both chemistry and surviving Auschwitz. What surprpised me was how mundane yet meaningful many of the essays were. The book wasn't life-shattering like "If this was a man", but still good and thoughtful. I went to this perhaps with slightly too high expectations though.
