I really enjoyed this book, I thought I would because I have read a few of St James’ books in the past. I did have to suspend my own beliefs a bit because I haven’t entirely come around the the supernatural themes yet but the way it was written, made it work for me.

April and Eddie have taken a wrong turn, they’re newly married and are on their way to a 5 day honeymoon in Lake Michigan. They take a wrong turn, ended up on a dark road late at night, and they see a woman up ahead, clearly in trouble.

They stop and pick her up. It's only once she's in the car that they see the blood. And then they see the headlights - far in the distance, but coming up fast. And at last, terror in her eyes, the woman speaks. "I'm sorry, he's coming.” An hour later, she’s dead.

There is nothing I like more than a thriller but a fast paced thriller by a good author is just *chefs kiss*. I admit, I’m currently watching an episode of Below Deck to get over the creepiness before I go to bed but that’s what makes this book so good.
