If she were in a race for her life, that roar was the starter pistol. If God were the referee, He had just shouted Go.
I enjoyed this so much! I seriously could not put my kindle down (I binge-read it in like a day or so). This book hits the ground running from the first chapter and doesn't let up. The twists and turns keep coming as the book goes on. The dialogue in this book was wonderful as well; it was so witty and quite hilarious at times. I'm excited to continue with the next book in the series to see where the story goes next with the other characters included in this book.
"All I know is you're mine to keep and protect. You can't fade away, and you can't die, I won't let you."
I loved how Pia held her own against Dragos's domineering ways, and that he learned to trust her judgment over time. Also his protectiveness (and eventual love towards Pia) was swoon-worthy. The chemistry and spice between them was amazing, and I hope to read more about them and their relationship later on in the series.
