It's not that I don't give romance novels 5 stars as a rule. I don't read a ton of lighter books, and I read even less romance. So, it takes a really stellar romance read to knock my socks off. This is one of those. Absolutely adored the characters, the storyline, and the pops of unexpected emotional depth. I blew through this one in a day because I didn’t want to step away from it. It had the perfect amount of spice (read that to mean practically nothing explicit - I am chronically averse to graphic sexcapades), and it made me want to go back and read the authors entire blacklist. (I have already read, and also loved, American Wife, but need to get to all the others.) Highly recommended.
