The Song of Wrath by Sarah Raughley

5.0

With an opening scene that grabs your attention and sets the tone for an intense, action-packed sequel, THE SONG OF WRATH by Sarah Raughley delivers a thrilling ride from its very first pages. While it takes about 80 pages to truly hit its stride, once it does, the momentum never falters. The infusion of Iris' past life enriches the world-building, offering a broader perspective of the universe. Iris' internal struggle is compelling and relatable, and her introspection is profound and thought-provoking, adding layers and complexity to her as a character. Additionally, the focus on the supporting character of Rin adds depth to the story that was missing in the first book. The pacing is well-balanced, keeping you on the edge of your seat, eagerly anticipating what comes next. I’m excited to dive into book 3!
