I just looked at when it was written. 2011. It was definitely written in it’s time. This was a difficult book to get through. This book wasn’t that great. There were parts I liked but mostly didn’t like. The MMC was a jerk. He was a deadbeat dad who decides to try be good at the end. And don’t get me started with their relationship. They were better as co parents then a romantic relationship. She deserves so much better than him. I felt sorry for what happened with his sister, but that doesn’t excuse he’s carelessness. This book had misogynistic and dumb comments. It also had some pick me vibes.
