The Fifth Gospel by Ian Caldwell

3.0

Strictly speaking, 3.5 stars. Religious controversies are fascinating as are behind-the-scenes accounts of the Vatican (rspecially, although I'm not Catholic), Downing Street, and the White House, and probably anywhere else power resides. This is a good story, with human touches that taise it somewhat above your average religious potboiler. And a fascinating insight into the interpretation of ancient texts.
