The Muse by Jessie Burton
5.0
This story blew my flipping mind. It kept me so tense, I kept guessing and gasping... It was absolutely amazing. Mysterious, beautiful, harsh and just so, so, so amazing.
The prose was curly - yes, but it worked so well. I never felt as if it was trying too hard, I actually cared about the characters and the length of the book was delicious - I wanted to know more about them.
I loved the exploration of an artist's feelings, it touched me on a personal level and I think it was very realistic and relatable, if you're an artist (it was for me). And if you're not - you can climb in the heads of people sick with desire to create and it's amazing.
I love it how quite a few people here seem to think it was boring - that's what I tend to like :D I enjoyed it immensely, and I see myself rereading it in the future.
