I’m not sure what this book was about to be honest - is it a book about idiots, a bank robber, mental health? It’s all of those plus more. I haven’t quite figured out my star rating for it yet but I’m edging towards a 3.5/4.

This book is very character driven and I was intrigued by all the characters stories that by the end, I think it was the best outcome for all of them. We really did go town and back with these characters, their stories are going to stay with me, some longer than others but I think ultimate’s my favourite character was Estelle and my least favourite being Jack (by the end, he moved up and I ended up liking him) but I do feel Jack perhaps had more potential than this book gave him. I do feel like we need more from Zara and Lennart though.

It is an easy read and one with characters you can maybe relate too in a way or two. I’m pleased I’ve finally gotten round to reading it and I’ll be watching the Netflix series and see if my feelings differ in any way, especially in relation to the characters and maybe I may work out of it really is a book about a bunch of idiots, a bank robbery or whatever it is.

If you’ve read Anxious People, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
