I really love that Medusa, throughout, was given not only a heroic personality in her sacrifices and kindness (different from normal male mythic heroes)… But also that it was narrated that she was a victim the whole time, and even then, she never lost her tenderness. 

It was such an easily devour-able read that I read it much faster than intended. It hit a lot of sweet spots for me and I really appreciate the quotes about monstrosity, beauty, and love.
