Hollowpox: The Hunt for Morrigan Crow by Jessica Townsend
4.0
This is a book about a pandemic, in which a marginalized population is scapegoated, persecuted, caged, and generally dehumanized by the more powerful majority. There are times when it seems that those in power will do nothing but abuse that power to the detriment of everyone who is trampled along the way.
So much for escapism.
Still, it was excellent, with all the charm that I expected, if a little more reality than I needed. I don't know if the story itself was darker, or it just seemed that way because I was reading it...now. Regardless, I can't wait for the next installment, there are big changes afoot in Morrigan's life and I can't see wait to see how things are going to shake out.
