And we're back to dealing with big themes!! This is what I love about this series.
Ritsu could be annoying but I really like him. This series deals with themes I rarely see, like the fact that, even if your parents love you, children pick up on stuff. Ritsu has really low self-esteem because his parents transmitted to him that he was a burden, even if they never said it directly to him. And I think the portrayal of that is really well done.
I also think that Aaya could be an unsympathetic character, in a "too little too late" kind of way. However, the way he is written, you understand that he lived in an abusive household as a child as well. He also needed to survive. Yet he still carries that guilt because it's a very complex situation nevertheless.
