Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

3.0

Alina is the Sun Summoner and with great power comes great responsibility. In Siege and Storm, we continue to follow Alina as she tries to bring the Darkling down and navigate her new life that is filled with love, status, power, and heartbreak.

I did not enjoy this one as much as I enjoyed the first one, but I still really liked it. It took me a while to get into it, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. We were introduced to some new characters that I really like and hope to see more of in the next book. There were even a handful of moments that really shocked me and made me audibly gasp. The only thing about this is I feel like I am supposed to be rooting for Mal and I just can't do it. I can't stand him and every time he enters a scene, I just want to throw my book.

I'm looking forward to reading the last book and seeing how Bardugo wraps up this trilogy!
