This book will satisfy the interests of almost all readers: it includes appropriate level of detail of design, fabrication, installation, as well as the social reception. In the back it includes a high level summary of renovations since (no dates???) as well as Emma Lazarus's iconic poem, "The New Colossus," which was written to raise money for the pedestal of the statue.

I love this story, Lafayette, and the story of the Wright Brothers—all wonderful instances of the bond between France and the United States. I hope those bonds can be strengthened and repaired and that both nations can continue to learn from and be inspired by the other.
