The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami
5.0
This book. This book. It's so weird.
I love it.
Mysterious sex calls from strangers. A missing cat. Psychics. May Kasahara. Creta Kano. Zoo massacres. Boris the man-skinner. Wig factories. The wind-up bird.
Murakami's writing is so fluid and..different from so many authors I've read. At first, I thought I wouldn't like it. But this book quickly became one of my favorites. It is rather long and daunting and at times, I became bogged down in it. But there are so many questions over the reality of the situation - who's real and what is Toru really dreaming?
So many questions. But strangely, I'm fine with it.
I'll definitely be reading more Murakami in the future.
