House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J. Maas
5.0
Bryce and Hunt are back along with some other familiar faces, and some new ones, in this epic tale that combines fantasy, science fiction, and romance into one massive rollercoaster ride of a book.
When I say I SCREAMED at the end of this book, I am not exaggerating. I am trying to gather my thoughts enough to write a review and am failing to think of anything else but all the countless plot twists that left me speechless. As usual, SJM's writing itself leaves something to be desired and she never shies away from the cringe factor. But she sure can write a endlessly twisting and turning plot that still manages to hold your interest and make sense! She also is incredibly skilled at writing characters that just make you fall in love with them. I was so invested in all of the main character's storylines that every new reveal hit home.
This is not a book that's easy to get through, it's long and dense and definitely takes a lot of focus. But it is so so worth it! I loved both books in the Crescent City series and cannot wait until the next one comes out!
