An Apple for the Creature by Charlaine Harris, Toni L.P. Kelner

4.0

Re-reading the series with the Ilona Andrews Addicts, before 'Magic Binds' comes out in September 2016. Hadn't planned to re-read all the shorts and novellas as well, but changed my mind. Will try to read parallel to the main series.

Read first on July 25, 2015.

Nice little short story, told from Julie's POV, at the end of [b:Magic Breaks|12119529|Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7)|Ilona Andrews|http://images.gr-assets.com/books/1383236969s/12119529.jpg|17088822]. Julie thinks that Kate tries to manipulate her into liking the school she picked for her.

“I’m older, wiser, and I know better. Deal with it.”
Parenting, kick-ass Kate Daniels’s style.

I think Julie sounds a little too mature at times. Yu Fong is a nice addition.
