Red Hail by Jamie Killen
5.0

It took me a month to read this book because I was busy savoring the events.
Red Hail weaves two timelines together, revolving around the Red Hail incident where pieces of blood red hail fell over the skies of Galina back in 1960. Lasting only a few minutes, it was after this even that eventually ended up tearing the town apart with violence and paranoia. Bringing a mysterious illness that no medicine could explain, people of Galina started to display symptoms in stages.
Then the illness vanished as suddenly as it arrived leaving the broken town with nothing but confusion and traumatic memories. 60 years into the future, we follow the story of Professor Colin Ayres when his partner, Alonzo, begins to exhibit the same eerie symptoms.
I loved this book to pieces! It gave me chills because nobody could scientifically explain what the heck was going on! I loved both timeline plots and characters and the reactions of townsfolk were just so real. A great read that I enjoyed quite a lot.
