A compelling story. People doing their best with the lot they are given. Docking some stars for stereotypical portrayals of Black people and Korean people. Troubling at some parts, but I found myself sympathetic to the plight of the characters. I struggled to get through the end because I knew how it ended, but the first 3/4 of the book went by very quickly.
