Shadows Fall by John Ney Reiber

4.0

A very underrated Vertigo miniseries. From what I can tell, it has never been collected into a trade. It’s similar in tone and style to Hellblazer, Shade, and Sandman. It’s psychological horror and supernatural horror. It even has a Constantine-like exorcist who sort of steals the show, much like John did in his debut in Swampthing.

The art by John Van Fleet is very good and pretty unique. It is photography with a lot of Photoshopping, but it’s incredibly well done, especially knowing how limited the program was at the time.
