The Fury by Alex Michaelides
5.0
The Fury by Alex Michaelides--I thought Michaelides' The Maidens was a little lacking after loving his Silent Patient, this book puts him right back into the mix. The beginning of the plot comes straight from a Knives Out movie: an eccentric star takes her friends to her private Greek island. From there, however, the story turns to a character-focused drama, led first and foremost by the narrator, a burgeoning playwright. The story skillfully weaves from point to point like a sailor navigating the fierce winds around the Greek isles, leaving no stone unturned in a relentless march toward a conclusion which, in retrospect, seems obvious. Two thumbs up.
