I quickly realized it was the third in a series when I started this. While it can be read as a standalone, I did feel I was missing some of the connections and background. That being said, I really loved Thatch and Lyric. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes, and this didn't disappoint. There were some heavy themes in it, so it might be necessary to look at the trigger warnings. I think Sara Richardson will be my go-to for cowboy romance, starting with the beginning of this series.
