Fella Enchanted by S.O. Callahan
5.0
What a beautiful story and what a magical world. I love everything about this book.
I don't read much fantasy, and I'm not that big of a fan of fairies, but my god, this book was absolutely marvellous. The writing is so .. unassuming, I guess. So beautiful and flowy, the imagery is absolutely stunning.
The author managed to create the most caring and lovely characters ever. I particularly liked Henry, if I'm being honest. He's the best friend anyone could ever ask for, always supportive and trustworthy. He's also very funny and his interactions with Peter were everything.
But the main characters are Peter and Breck. Oh my. Their relationship is so.. magical and pure. But also tender and sexy. They meet, they get to gradually know each other, and then fall in love in the most precious way.
A special shout out to Finna, for always being the best. She's the MVP, no doubt.
What I loved about this book is how little conflict there is. Everything is so peaceful (well, after the plague that killed so many people, anyway). But really, there's no unnecessary drama, just people going about their business, meeting fairies and falling in love.
I teared up a few times, especially when things from Peter's past were brought up. His history with Jamie gutted me. And the revelation about his death made me sob for a few minutes. Anne's journey also made me very emotional.
Oh, I LOVED all the baked goods that were mentioned throughout the book.
I've started reading the second one as soon as I finished this one.
