This is book two in the Steele Ranch series. It is a stand alone, even though there are some mentions of the characters from book one, so you don't need to read them in order to enjoy them.
This is the story of Penelope (I really wanted to change my name to this as a child), Boone, and Jamison. I don't think I need to summarize the plot for you, so I'm just going to tell you some of the reasons I loved this story. I love the character development! I found it very easy to relate to Penny, and her motivations made sense and were realistic. I also loved Boone and Jamison, and the way they cared for Penny. There were times in the story where I forgot how much younger Penny was than the guys because she wasn't written like a young airhead, and I really enjoyed that.
Vanessa Vale writes wonderful stories that are both steamy and tug at your heart-strings. There is just enough drama and suspense to keep you on your toes, and her descriptions of the setting make it easy for you to picture it in your mind. She is one of my top go-to authors and I recommend everything she has written.
