Nemesis Games by James S.A. Corey

Couldn't put this one down, and I think this is the first one I've done entirely in paper as opposed to audio/book split.

This one starts off relatively slow, and I enjoyed that. The crew splits up to do backstory stuff, we get a lot of worldbuilding and backstory fleshing out. And then a lot of major events happen, setting the stage for the rest of the series. By rights, this book should be clunky: not only is it the middle of the series of 9 but it's also the middle of the middle trilogy. If ever a book were allowed to have middle book syndrome, it's this one. And yet it feels more like the very top of the halfway point on the rollercoaster - you've had fun up to this point and there's been some thrills, but from this vantage point you can see the insane ride left ahead of you, and the climb during this book gives you the momentum to get there.
