A v enjoyable read which v much appealed to my own niche loves of the renaissance, tarot, and medicinal/poisonous plants!! Felt v inspired by The Secret History, the setting sounded gorg and I felt fully engrossed by the twists and turns, the unreliable narrator and immoral judgements in pursuit of academic ambition. Ann’s character development was rly interesting, tho her love interest was such an irritating presence in the story ugh men ruin everything.  Overall, gripping and fascinating!
