I was delighted to see the author's bio at the start of the book and to find that Rebecca is a Perth girl like me! I love me some Fremantle!

Warning: Beware of the dog - He will steal your wallet. (!)

Without reading the blurb would you think this book was a parody if I said it had characters named Houdini, Billy the Knuckle, Pork Chop, Zumba the pig farmer, Sir Spud and Pee Wee?

Would you consider it being a grizzly murder mystery if I said that there was 10 ex husbands who met their perilous end in mysterious, exotic and explosive ways?

What about a spy novel if you consider a main character has been all around the world, involved in plots asinister, meeting and charming the locals, always has a quick quip to hand and can mix a mean cocktail?

It is of course a bibliofile's dream come true with characters with seriously DREAM jobs, and with most of the story set in the best bookshop in the world! Honestly, the fact that it is a work of fiction makes me want to cry. Put this lady in charge of running a whole chain of amazing bookshops set in breath taking settings worldwide, STAT!

This book has warm and really human characters with real flaws galore, amazingly funny and witty banter and conversations, ridiculously heartwarming romances and a beautiful community feel.

I loved it! Thank you Rebecca Raisin!! Please write a new book every other week, If you will. :)

Thanks to Netgalley and the author and publisher for a temporary copy in exchange for my honest review.
