This story will keep you up at night, consistently checking on our child regardless of age. Be in a chubby toddler or a teen that thinks they are too old for cuddles. You won't be able to stop yourself from checking their chest for breath and sending up a small prayer of safety.

Jason said this story helped him get back into writing and is based on his life experiences. After reading this I plan on giving him the BIGGEST BESTEST HUG next time I see him because WTF.

A father who is also a trained medic is faced with the difficult choice of needing to assess the situation from a professional standpoint and only being able to save one of his children after a car accident. If you survive that, the story continues as survivor's guilt takes hold of his only living child and once again as a father he's faced with another difficult choice.

This may only be 34 pages, but I guarantee you it's a story that will live rent free in your head for the rest of your life. I will point out that while the basis is serious and there are other WTF moments, Jason still manages to incorporate a bit of dark humor which was very much needed. Any smile during this read was a lifeline.
