Off the Clock is emotional, sexy, and filled with incredible banter and chemistry! This is a little bit second-chance romance, a little bit workplace, forced proximity, with a great plot.
Marin is a sex therapist, who has almost no experience with sex...aside from her one sexual encounter with Donovan West, who happens to be her new coworker. During Marin's first sessions, she is as awkward as you can imagine. Donovan offers to help her with her lack of experience, and I'm sure you know what this leads to.
Off the Clock has many humorous moments, but it also touches on some serious and dark issues. The characters are nuanced and they develop a strong emotional connection. The spice is well-written and sexy, with a dash of kink. It is a bit of a slow burn, but it is so worth it. The forbidden aspects made the romance even more exciting.
I loved Off the Clock so much because it has everything I like in a romance book. I am definitely going to be reading this again in the future.
