Sequel to Annihilation, a book I read years and years ago. Authority has a new protagonist and takes place in the aftermath of the first book.

Honestly, I didn't love this one at all. I started reading it before and gave up about half way through. It's super, super slow paced, and not much happens until about 70% in. Not really my kind of book, but it does evoke a subtle, unsettling feeling the whole way through, and the ending was intriguing enough that I will probably pick up the final book in this trilogy at some point. Felt more mundane than Annihilation to be quite honest.
