Only Say Good Things: Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself by Crystal Hefner

I don’t like to rate true stories/biographies/memoirs because who am I to give a star rating to someone else’s story.
When I finished this book I felt so sad for Crystal but also hopeful for he future. If you take a scroll back through my feed you will see that I read a lot about the corporation that is Playboy. The first book I read was Holly Madison’s who was the “main” girlfriend of Hugh Hefner before Crystal. I feel that Holly and Crystals are so much more similar than neither of them would realise and if they teamed up for a tell all, they would be unstoppable.
When I was a young girl, I loved Girls Next Door, I had no business watching this TV show but idolised the girlfriends, I thought life was so colourful and glamorous in the playboy mansion but really there were dark secrets hiding behind all of that colour.
I didn’t know much about Crystal before I picked up this book but now I want nothing but the best for her. A very difficult read that had me so angry and left me with a feeling of hope.
