This compendium combines two existing canon novels, and integrated them by bridging story gaps with the short stories. Both novels are excitement in their own regard, and the bridging stories are engaging vignettes that both stand alone well and make the transition between novels more organic. This collection differs significantly from much of the old EU - these are not stories about force wielding jedi in epic battles. Instead, these are probably better understood add a glimpse into the people and power of the Empire at its height.
