Alien, Vol. 1: Bloodlines by Phillip Kennedy Johnson
3.0
Figures as soon as Disney got a hold of this franchise they'd immediately make a story featuring the "plucky company man". You know, the franchise famous for its no-face corporate villainy? That one? Oh well. I came for cool Alien art and I got that, for the most part
Completely misses the point but also does some fairly interesting things, spoilers below:

The black goo / canisters from Prometheus have been a contentious mystery, and the implication here is that every time a civilization advances to spacefaring, they encounter the xenomorph in some form. It contradicts a bit with the plot of Alien: Covenant, but I really love that idea. It makes the alien a mythological terror, a kind of extra-galactic reset button. It's an idea that's been done in scifi before but I like it in this context.
