The Sorority by Nancy Bush
slow-paced
2.5
The Sorority is a lackluster read. While the premise of the mean sorority clique is promising, the book is bogged down by too many characters and convoluted plot lines. There are multiple perspectives that jump around without clear focus. There are a few too many subplots that feel irrelevant to the main point of the book. The dialogue feels unnatural, and the pacing is slow, with little action until the story’s midpoint. Ultimately, the book fails to deliver a satisfying conclusion, leaving me feeling pretty bored. This one was a missed opportunity. The concept was strong, but it just didn’t reach its full potential. The ending does leave room for a sequel, but I don’t think I’ll be continuing this series.
