This was a rly interesting and original read! I love the deep dive into what is The Past and the fragility of memory, the danger of rose-tinted nostalgia and how the personal so easily becomes the political. I thought it was so fascinating how our narrator becomes increasingly unreliable
the division between him and Gaustine fragmenting as the chapters do
, as the past, present and future become enveloped in one another. Lost its momentum in the middle I think and became a bit of a slog, I understand it’s meant to be fragmentary and confusing, you’re not sure what is literal or metaphorical, but at times I was like ?? Ok? I wish he had stuck to the premise of the first act rather than expanded it so wildly. But otherwise rly unique and cool - “postmodern absurdist satire on the current state of Europe” puts it well
