A fascinating concept, not done justice in its execution. I tried so hard to love this book but found the pacing odd with the middle third being so much of a slog that I decided to DNF before guiltily picking it back up again. I listened in audio - maybe this would have been better to read physically due to the segments that are structured as forum posts. Worth a read because there are some vital messages about gentrification here and the real horror of the book is that it really doesn’t feel far from the truth. Apart from the ending, which was terrible.
